Alison Krauss has been a country music star for more than 30 years. She was born in Decatur IL on the 23rd day of July in 1971. LeAnne Kymes was also one of two youngest Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss - born on July 23, 1971, is an American bluegrass and country singer. She began her career in the industry in the early years, winning local contests by 10, before recording her first album at the age of 14. She was signed in 1985 by Rounder Records. Her first solo album debuted in 1987. The band invited her to join the group with which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and released her first album in the group in 1989.
