Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28, 1967. Julia Fiona Roberts is the fourth generation of Roberts that resided in Atlanta. Her father was keen interest from a young age in theater. When he was a college pupil at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he participated in many performances. While stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he was commissioned into the Air Force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was part of the show as well. The couple got married in 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. In 1957, the couple quit the military and Walter began his studies in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter was employed as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. The year 1964 was when Walter along with Betty Lou began production on a local Saturday morning children's TV show named Bum Bum and His Buddies which they funded by on their own. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted 6 years. They had two more children, Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also named Lisa), and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also know by the same name Julie).
